Heavy Duty Industrial Caster - Model B150

Capacity 20,000 pounds per caster.
Model B150 is designed for the heaviest caster applications. We feature this caster at up to 17,000 Lbs. capacity per caster. Modification can be made to provide up to 20,000 Lbs. capacity per caster when needed. Model B150 is almost exclusively used in conjunction with mechanically powered equipment. Two precision machined swivel bearings provide easier swiveling, reduced swivel vibration, and longer trouble free performance. Load ratings are based on a speed up to 3 mph under ideal operating conditions. Since it is rare for a caster application to involve ideal operating conditions, we suggest you rely on our experienced and knowledgeable staff for a written recommendation.

Features:
  • Swivel Construction - Two precision machined swivel bearings
  • Legs - 1/2" thick formed steel.
  • Axle - 1 1/4" diameter bolt.
  • Wheel Bearing - Two 1 1/4" tapered roller bearings.
  • Grease Fittings - for swivel and wheel bearings.
  • Finish - external metal parts are painted.

We suggest that you do NOT drill the mounting holes to attach the casters until you receive them.
We do NOT include mounting Hardware.

Optional Features:
You should never select on the basis of load capacity alone. There is no industry standard for load capacity ratings and they may not include a factor for abuse. Our capacity ratings are below what the casters are capable of carrying because most applications have less than perfect conditions. Please refer to the information shown at the bottom of this page. If you have any doubt as to which wheel or caster is the BEST choice for your application contact us for a recommendation.

Deduct 20 lb. for weight of Rigid Casters.

V-Groove swivel casters require a Swivel Lock in order to go backwards when on Angle Iron Track.

You should never select on the basis of load capacity alone. Capacity ratings do not take into account the effort required to manually move a load. Capacity ratings are based on manual operation under ideal conditions. If these casters are going to be moved by mechanically powered equipment, consult us for a reduced capacity rating based on your application. If a human being has to move the weight, select the largest practical wheel diameter.

If a caster failure occurs it is almost always because of misuse or abuse. It has been very rare that a product failed because of faulty material or poor workmanship. The following are examples of things that we do NOT want you to do:

1. Dragging the wheel sideways.
2. Shock or Impact caused by dropping the load instead of setting it down on the castered equipment.
3. Improper Installation such as:
  A. Rigid casters not installed parallel to one another.
  B. Swivel casters not installed parallel to the floor.
  C. Using less than 4 bolts to attach the mounting plate.
  D. Distortion of the swivel bearing when attaching the mounting plate due to welding improperly.
4. Exceeding the rated capacity of the wheel or caster.
5. Exceeding a rolling speed of 3 MPH.
6. The build up of heat caused by continuous operation causing tire separation.
7. Recommended ONLY for use on smooth concrete.
